About the Author:

Judy Powell has always been an avid reader of romance.
Having sampled all genre - from Gothic, to Historical, to
Regency, to Contemporary - she decided to focus on an
area which she feels has not yet been fully developed -
the Multicultural Romance.

Judy is a Jamaican who has lived and worked in
various countries including France, Puerto Rico, the USA and Canada.  She has also
traveled extensively in the Caribbean and Latin America.  In addition to
English she speaks Spanish, French, and a smattering of German.  She holds a Bachelor of
Arts in Foreign Languages/ International Business as well as a Master of Arts in Spanish
and an M.B.A. - Marketing.  She is finishing up her third Master's Degree - in Humanities/
Literature.  Judy is a member of the U.S.A. Honour Society, Phi Beta Kappa.

Her love for people, world cultures and music led her to write
Hot Summer, a romance
which is set in both Chicago and Jamaica, and is a combination of African American and
Jamaican cultures.  The novel is a celebration of the diversity and the multiplicity of
cultures, even among peoples of African descent.

Judy presently resides in Ontario, Canada, where she is focusing on her writing career, her
Sales Consulting business and her three year old terror and the love of her life, Angelo.

Judy's philosophies on life:
*  Don't wait on destiny or for things to happen - go out, make things happen and
create your own destiny
*  Our main purpose on earth is to do good to others - without this, life is
meaningless.
